Mad Professor's New Owners

The legendary Finnish pedal and amp brand Mad Professor Amplification changed hands on September 27th 2024. For over 20 years Mad Professor has offered professional quality products to all musicians. Classics such as Deep Blue Delay and Sweet Honey Overdrive have cemented their place on pedalboards all over the world. Mad Professor along with others has proved that Finland is a leader in music innovation and technology, and the story is just beginning.

The previous owners are happily moving into retirement and have chosen new faces to continue their work. The corporation that acquired Mad Professor is led by young Finnish entrepreneurs with years of experience in pedal design and manufacturing, and a passion for music and guitar playing. The new owners are committed to continue the high standard of production that the company is known for. With new energy and vision will come new products and renewed classics.

There will be great emphasis on keeping the classic products available while implementing new strategies and one of the main focus points in the start will be bringing back the hand wired pedals. The hand wired pedals will be manufactured in house at our shop in Tampere. These will be limited runs only and the first batch will come available in the Spring 2025.

We are grateful for the amazing work that Harri and Jukka have done over the years and thankful for the opportunity to continue the story of Mad Professor. The previous and new owners will work closely together in the coming months to ensure that musicians  all over the world can continue to enjoy the great tone of Mad Professor.
